We offer the “Turkish Delight Tour” itinerary as our scheduled tour, which is a guided tour with fixed dates and prices. You will explore the great cities of Turkey with minimum travel time and maximum comfort. You will have the luxury of travelling in a small group. TURKISH DELIGHT TOUR / 9 DAYS ISTANBUL – EPHESUS – PAMUKKALE – ANTALYA – KONYA - CAPPADOCIA

 

DAY 1 ISTANBUL: Arrive in Istanbul. Your guide will meet you at the Istanbul Ataturk airport and will be holding a sign with your name written. After transfer to the hotel, depending on the time availability, a walking tour around the hotel and talk about the tour program and itinerary. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

 

DAY 2 ISTANBUL: Visit Hippodrome, where    chariot races took place during the Roman period; the Blue Mosque, famous for its tiles; Haghia Sophia, the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture; the eerie Underground Cistern, built in the 6th century; Topkapi Palace, home of the Ottoman Sultans. We will also visit the gallery section in Haghia Sophia,  Harem and Treasury sections in the Topkapi Palace. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.  

 

DAY 3 ISTANBUL – IZMIR – EPHESUS: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Izmir. Drive to Ephesus and visit the ancient Roman city of Ephesus which was the Roman capital of Asia Minor and it is now the best preserved classical city in the world. Visit the Celsus Library, Marble Street, the Great Theatre, Temple of Artemis. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

 

DAY 4 KUSADASI – PAMUKKALE - ANTALYA: Departure for Pamukkale, visit the wonderful calcium terraces and the Roman city of Hierapolis with a unique Roman cemetery. Arrival in Antalya, major resort town along the Mediterranean.Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

 

DAY 5 ANTALYA: Visit  Perge and Aspendos, old Roman cities. Perge has fine column lined streets. The theatre at Aspendos is the best preserved of any in the Roman world. In the afternoon, visit the old Antalya including its old harbour, city walls, Fluted Minaret, Hadrian’s Gate, old houses and narrow streets. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

 

DAY 6 ANTALYA – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA: Departure for Cappadocia with a stop in Konya to visit the Museum and Tomb of Mevlana, founder of the Whirling Dervish philosophy in the 13th century. Drive to Cappadocia over the scenic Toros Mountains. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

 

DAY 7 CAPPADOCIA: Visit Cappadocia, a region of uniquely spectacular geomorphology. Visit Goreme Valley where byzantine churches are decorated with remarkable frescoes. Drive to the red coned monastic complex of Zelve and visit to Uchisar and the Underground City of Derinkuyu. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

 

DAY 8 CAPPADOCIA – KAYSERI – ISTANBUL:  Transfer to the airport in Kayseri for the flight back to Istanbul. After arrival in Istanbul, visit the Grand Bazar and the Spice Market. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

 

DAY 9: Transfer to the airport and flight back.
